New Year's Resolutions

My New Year's Resolutions

  1. Healthy Eatin' & Weight Losin' -- No more excuses. No more waiting. This is it, as I write this I start anew. I haven't been in 'shape' since I was a sophmore in high school, I am a sophmore in college now. (Maybe embarrassing myself by admitting this to the public will force me to see it through.) I am making this blog keep me accountable. I will lose weight.
  2. Goodbye Facebook -- I'm not deleting it, mostly because if someone messages me on there, I still want access to communication. I just can't handle it consuming all of my time. It's really just silly.
  3. Exercise -- I'm trying to sound motivated as I type this, but it's just not happening.  I don't want to exercise, and honestly, who does? I just want to lay around, read books, and somehow lose a bunch of weight doing that. I have a feeling it doesn't work that way, but luckily enough my family just recently acquired some exercise equipment (enough to call all of them put together a home gym) and so I need to stop crying. I need to get over it. I need to sweat.
  4. Staying Organized -- I can't pretend that my life isn't in absolute chaos most of the time, because it is. I just need to remember to help myself out from time to time, lessen the burden by taking care of laundry when it's a small pile and not a tower.
  5. Successful Etsy -- I put on my list, and I'm laughing over it now, that I wanted it to make money. I can't deny that I want it to make money because I do, that extra pocket change will help out a lot. Just the thought of someone wearing my products makes me feel successful already, anything else is just sugar.
  6. Stay In Touch With Far Away Friends -- Since I'm saying sayonara to Facebook I figured staying in touch wouldn't be as easy, though I still will be on my Twitter, I need to find sweet little ways to remind my friends of how gracious I am to have them in their lives. Especially when they are miles away at their big ol' smart universities. I can't pretend that they aren't working hard, so making their day (going out of my way to not "post something on their wall" but to call, text, send them snail mail) will be extremely important.
  7. Get into the OTA Program -- I start applying for the Occupational Therapy Assistant program in April, and I am nervous/excited/awkward/happy about it. (Awkward because an interview is required, and I am awkward when nervous.)

This year will be full of all kinds of surprises, I can't waaait!

What are your 2012 resolutions? Did we share any?
